B careful I have had problems with using vinegar . I.e. 2 clean up some drop outs I stuck the fork legs in jam jars full of vinegar . Did the job I wanted great but the only draw back was it left a micron deep line around the forks where the top of the vinegar was. I can only assume it was some sort of electrolitic action with exposure 2 the air

You mix 1 part with 9 parts water Gary and leave it for 24hrs.
