What the best gearing to have these days ? I allways ee a 16 tooth freewheel on your wheels and a 44 on your cranks ? whats best.
Its just years ago we didnt have tiny drive wheels fitted to our cranks.

44/16 is mainly found on race bikes these days.Smaller gearing keeps the chainring out of the way so it won`t be bent/hang up.Be careful if your brake is on the chainstays as clearance can be tight.A flip-flop hub (threaded on both sides) will allow you to run down to a 13T on the back, any smaller and you`ll need a cassette hub.
