New Skyways, can they hold anymore pressure ?
« on: June 20, 2010, 06:22 PM »
Thinking of getting me some new tuffs to go with my new ride. Do the new ones hold onto the tyre better for more pressure and a harder ride ?
Cheers Steve NEWBE AND OLDE.

Think it's the tyres that hold the pressure just pump em to what the tyres say....newer hubs ride cool my blue ally ones needed tightened more often,my black ones with newer hubs are awesome to ride and take a good slapping no worries had em a while now and not had to take a spanner to em  :daumenhoch:

they only really take about 60 psi before you risk your tyre blowing off as they don't really have a ridge on the inside of the rim, unlike alloy rims  :daumenhoch:

Thats what i was worried about. I enjoyed the hp tyres when i was into it back in the day, hp pergrine 48s. Just wondered if Skyway had increased the lip on the inside of the rim-oo er nurse if you know what i mean.

60 psi is fone for cruising around on (which at most of our weights is all you wanna be doing on Tuffs) if you are heavier than a sparrow then they're shyte wheels for riding, look cool though  :daumenhoch:
