Skyway 280 TA
« on: April 11, 2006, 08:13 PM »
Anyone got any info on these ? I just picked one up, and want to know what components they had from the factory. I know they're not high end bikes, but you don't see 'em very often so I thought I'd snap it up, and it wasn't dear.

I'll get some pics up tomorrow. Can't be arsed tonight, pub time is looming  :)

Cheers

Guy

Cheers fellers.  :)

I'll get some pics up in the morning.
It has the pads on it now (I got them from Ginny) and the one piece crank/Turbo disc, skinnies too. 6 bolt stem which I don't recognise, and a few other mysterious parts which don't look original.

Cheers

guy
just found the brochure

not got a scanner here but will say whats written

there was a 280 TA and a 300 TA

it does not mention the spec of the ta as  the 300 ta was the higher spec one
all it says for components for the 280 is components by tioga, dia.compe and suntour
the spec for the 300 ta is
tioga task force crank
beartrap bottom bracket
""""""""" head set
compe 3 tires
dk pro stem
araya rims
ame grips
dia compe 990 u brake with tech 5 lever

looking at the picture and the brochure mate it looks like it had the skyway race bars
i think the hardest thing you will find to get is the seat its a black race seat like they fitted on the mk3 beats
will put up pics tommorow mate

daz bmx it!

I heard they named them after the price they sold for.....   i.e $280 & $300 is that true?

That looks very similar to the stem that Bob_Acid has on his TA.
