Yes the re-issue Kashimax seats can be dyed no problem:
I've dyed my White one i had on my AP and the results are spot on:
Before:
After:
I used a very large metal bucket, half filled it with water (enough to make sure the seat was fully submerged) plenty of table salt and 1 small tub of the black Dylon. Then i put the bucket onto the oven hob and let it go on the boil for around 2 1/2hrs.The results are well worth it.
The rails don't get ruined, all i would say is if you are gonna put an 'AERO' decal on it make sure you put it on AFTER you've dyed the seat as the one i have on mine i put on before i dyed it and the dye 'slightly tinted' the AERO decal but the KASHIMAX gold stamp was not damaged in the slightest...
Ps....if you do dye one of these remember to take off the rear decal as this will get ruined if left on
