Amazing bike. Think he rode it at the JAG worlds in Burbank in Dec '83.

Beautiful build, fantastic attention to detail.

I had the same ambition for my own rupe f&f  (not anymore!)

Where did you source the pro-fit stem as I've never seen one since I sold mine to Winnie Wright back in '88.

Hats off  for the rarest of replica builds.

Thanks so much for the kind words..!!

It is all thanks to Mr. Rupe himself for remembering all the parts he was running on his bike at the time.

The PRO-FIT is actually on loan from a very cool guy and fellow Rupe fan...Jim (BossHogg).  Thanks again to Jim.

I hope to find one for myself...soon!   :(

I guess it is sort of a, "replica" build...but I like to think of it as just a bit more...seeing as it is the actual Prototype.

Thanks again!

~Tom

Thank you Sir...and yes...I agree.   ;D

I've updated some of the pictures with the most recent I have.

I have to take some new ones now...I finally got a hold of an original set of Haro Racing pads and I was also finally able to find a practically brand new Haro Moto visor.  The visor in the newest pictures is cut-off at the brim.  I was able to find the correct 130mm Profile spider that belongs on this beauty.

I hope to take some new shots of her very soon...before it gets COLD out.  The new shots will be with 100% all original correct parts...the same as the picture below from the 1985 February issue of BMX Plus! magazine.

Mr. Rupe told me...that photo shoot was actually done in 1984...but was finally featured in a '85 issue.  Pretty cool...huh.  That is why...the Prototype bike is shown in the big blow-up magazine picture but the more well known Signature Edition decals are pictured in the rest of the article.

Thanks!

~Tom
