I posted a pair of wheels to someone and I didnt use recorded delivery

anyway the wheels didnt turn up , so I waited the alloted Royal mail non delivery time and lodged a complaint . I didnt think I would here from them , but in the post I recieved a cheque for £47 . the value of the wheels plus my postage costs back.

I have done the same before too, waited the designated time and surprisingly to me I have been paid out in full by Royal mail...and quick too....it ain't all bad out there if you take care now and again

funny how that seems to happen a lot when you send something non recorded

If the item is less than £41 pounds then you don't have to send recorded - first class with proof of postage is good enough (as in this case).

You do need proof of postage, so dont just wang a load of stamps on the package and send it.

Take it to the post office, get it weighed and pay the money and get a receipt.

Although the payout for 1st and 2nd class exists. Paying for recorded delivery might mean your package wont get lost in the first place.
