Right then...........
This is the one that started it all
Told myself when I got into this that I just wanted a replica of my original minigoose and a supergoose and that's it - maybe a rider, but no more than 3 bikes.........
My how things change
Anyways it's finally done
Wish it was my actual frame from BITD but hey-ho, this is the next best thing.
I've built it as a survivor because I wanted it "right" rather than "bling".
Let's face it, NOS mongoose stamped rat-traps and NOS mongoose stamped hubs don't exactly pop up everyday so survivor was the way to go.
The only details not exact are the tyres which are union snakebellies because finding red mongoose snakebellies hasn't happened in over 2 years of hunting so these will have to do. Other than that and a round red reflector for the front wheel she is exactly as mine came to me one fine christmas morning
The brake set-up may look a little strange but that's exactly how mine was - coaster rear and DC caliper front.
I think all UK kids bikes back then had to be sold with front and rear brakes by law so that's how she was
Chr!st I went through some rear tyres with that coaster brake
drove my mum nuts
