Author Topic: pretty cool and rare? bike that came my way for 25 quid.. (Read 3424 times)

yesterday at my local park I noticed some kid rolling around on a chrome bike, 1st thing that caught my attention was the brake bridge, and then the seat stay seat tube junction..
next up I noticed the cranks..stem.. wtf man..
I asked him where he got from? his dad works at the local tip and brought it home one day!?!?

ok next up.. how much kid..?

after much ummm and arring we agreed on 25 nicka..

so, did I get a bargin?

really not sure what to do with it yet, restore it? or just punt it on for parts? what ever happens the end view is to sell as I already have to many bikes.
the bars were removed by him, but are included he just got to get them to me, hopefully there starbars!
already searched up star products etc but any other info on parts etc would be great?

hmmm so if people want to pm serious

offers, I guess it'll help me make up my mind, I just mentioned to my girlfriend about possibly restoring it 1st..
never knew she could shout that loud

if I do decide to sell it will be in the for sale section, but 1st I guess I need to decide, then research its value..

the lad had some horrible bars that he had fitted, so he kept them and has promised to get the orginal bars back to me by next weekend, hopefully starbars

sick frame and forks! probably an 83, those are the 3rd gen Star decals...used right before the name was switched to GHP.

i still have my original Star that i bought off my buddy, Kevin McCarthy in 82....who was factory Star pro rider. it was the only bike i kept from back in the day.
