Who was the Kid who jump them cars from the UK in the 80s

i heard he used his ripper as the get away thats why they could not catch him

all this car jumping. does anyone remember a kid on a 'panther' bike jumping cars? i'm sure i seen this on newsround before i knew about bmx. the bike was a chopper style. laid back with a big banana seat. i think it was from townsend or falcon bikes.
i think he also used a start ramp.
