My Latest Mid School Project *Even More New Pics*
« on: May 05, 2010, 10:10 AM »
Here are some pics of my latest mid school project...
1995 ELF Pro XL frame with polished Answer Alumilite forks, HOPE Industries sealed head set, Profile XXL stem, Profile bottom bracket set. Hoping to have this finished within the next couple of months. If anyone is selling any ELF Blast bars, ELF stickers and also ELF pads please let me know.
Also for this project I have chrome S&M Slam bars, Black Jive grips, Tioga Comp III tyres (Fat/Skinny combo), Profile seat clamp.

What colour pads were you after? And what wheels are you looking at for this?

Wheels will be polished...Unsure what hubs/rims as of yet.
Regarding pads any colour ELF pads would be great.

One thing I've noticed is that the frame must take a strange diameter seat post....26.8 is a tad too big so I'm guessing 26.4 might be the way to go. I think I'm going to have trouble locating a seat post in that size  :(

Thats pretty  :smitten:

Supercross used a 26.6 seatpost for a while so it might be that size??

You could be onto something there mate....I'll see if I can track down a 26.6 seatpost, Otherwise I might have to machine my 26.8 post.

I've ordered a set of polished cantilever brakes, Got the wheels, Pedals and cranks all sorted out, Just need to sort out the seat post then I'll pretty much have everything to build it within a week or so.

Here are some progress pics....
Still waiting on the ELF sticker set, Seat post, Brakes and a few other little things then I've got to polish up the pedals and wheels again and then she'll be all done :)
Still need to hunt down a set of ELF Blast Bars and a ELF pad set.

Here is the latest round of pics....
Still got a bit to do to it yet and still waiting on the stickers to arrive. I may also have a lead on a nice ELF pad set too.
Note the ELF Blast bars that are now on it.
Will take better pics once the weather clears up.

I've updated the ELF yet again...
It now has it's original ELF forks on it along with a FOX pad set.
I prefer the ELF forks over the Answer forks I had on it previously.
Here are the pics :)

Have to say, for me, those Blast Bars coupled with the Answer Ali Forks seemed to sit perfectly together 8)
Either way man, it's a beautiful looking machine.

The Answer forks were good but I prefer the original ELF forks. I'm going to take better pics when we get nice sunny weather again (Hopefully tomorrow).
