I've seen them on bikes.....  I've taken them off bikes.....

Never actually used one     All the people I spoke to said they didn't work as well as a gyro and they were simply superceded.

Nowt wrong with a properly set up gyro and they're cheap as chips these days, if its for a rider I'd go for one of them

you have to run your stem jacked up - as the rotor slides up and down the shaft  :o

they are not so good. better than nothing bitd, but not worth using now. kinda like trying to use skyway pegs to 50-50 grind on

got a bike, stems a bit long, sticks out about an inch so i thought one of them would do the trick, forks are too short to run a gyro. need help

I had the same problem, I got an acs stem and the shaft is extra long because of the acs rotor, I put a rotor on there just to take up the slack but never had it conected as such

I have used a few, they are ok if you set em up well, but they are an ugly beast beast.

I was thinking about fitting a ACS rotor on my Haro 85 master, but have read bad comments about them on here.

I now plan to fit an Odyssey gyro 2 (pictured) as they are fairly cheap, but I am not sure if they will fit ok and will be easy to install. I am running Dia-compe 880/901 brakes.

The seller says they are available in 1" size. While not being era correct so long as it works well I don't care. Does anyone know when this gyro came out (late 80's?). If not this one, what was the name of the model fitted to the Haro bike in the late 80's. Cheers

the forks on my bike arent long enough to fit a gyro thats why i was asking about the rotor, i have a spare 1" gyro if anyone is interested...

the only problem with oddy gyros or any gyro come to that is the cut out on the back of the bottom plate(the one that sits under your top bearing cup) isnt quite wide enough for a twin top tube bike.
will fit a sport lovely, but on a master you need to dremmel the back of the plat out to allow it to seat properly other wise it hits the tubes and knocks shells of paint out each side.

Good job you pointed this out before went out attempted to fit on the Master.

Not sure I will fit a gyro or a rotor now. The new 2006 Sport come with one, so I will use that bike for tricks that need a gyro. Cheers

believe it or not a properly set up gyro is more effective than a regular cable.

its to do with the higher strength of the gyro dual cables, and the shorter distance they travel

always been a known fact!
