Removing Unitrons

These have to be the hardest to remove due to inflexible inner sleeve.

Anybody and tips, tricks. Or is it straw down inside and fill with lube slowly withdrawing as I go.

put em in the kettle then get a mate round to help, women are bloody useless

I always lube them up first by pulling the end back slighty, then I  put a bit of washing up liquid in the gap.   The hair dryer then, to make them expand slightly - never failed me yet!  

ooooh, all that sounds rather rude!

Hammer and an adjustable spanner ( thets the entire contents of my BMX tool box )

if you cant do it with either of these then the jobs just not possible

A little WD40 ?

artists/kids paintbrush ( long and thin ) down the side then squirt of WD40 or Fairy Liquid.

Also works on crusty foreskins

well I have never tried the hairdryer before.  Usually screwdriver down the side however these bars must not be scratched. So maybe chopstick or paint brush. I am very tempted to try the kettle and expansion method. So I think that will be my first choice.

Women are normally useless at getting things on however removing rubber is their hidden talent.

Woman   "And you can get that thing off."

I'm firmly in the hot water camp - fill sink with very hot water, put grip/barend in, create a gap between the bar and grip to let the hot water seep in, work the grip and pull off

Confirmed kettle works best ever for me. Took me all of 3 mins to boil the jug, stick in for 30 secs and viola foot on the other end and off those puppies come. Thanks a bunch. You know what the bonus for me was? Getting that smell of hot rubber. Kinda like a hot water bottle. Awesome thanks a bunch Guys

Now to say goodbye to these bars
