skyway tuff's

we all know about dyeing tuffs, but what colour can you get to go what colour?

i presume that if i dye yellow tuffs blue i'll get army green, but what colours can you get to successfully from yellow?
red? orange? black obviously, and yellow i suppose.

just wondering if anybody had experimented and failed/succeeded.

black.....possible red from yellow tuffs, deffo not blue...fact, ive tried.

From what i have dyed in the past there are a couple of things to take into account

White will dye to any thing, but if it is already a colour then it will never turn a true colour - i.e yellow with blue turns green,  but like above said it will be a amy green - a colour that will be dull and flat - blue and red will go dark marronish maybe black

you could try mixing the powder before adding to the water to dye - you will have to work out % of each colour for what you want the colour to be

that's tv/printer(light source) primary additive colours . subtractive primary colours are red/blue/yellow. not a million miles apart, but you need cyan, magenta and yellow with a white base to achieve colours that way. Dying is more like mixing paint. Would be something else if it was the other way around, you could get some wild colours from tuffs

only real options are to mint them back to their original colour, or go black.

so then youve got either a really nice set of yellow or black tuffs to sell/trade into the colour you want.

no point fooking up a set of tuffs as an experiment.

i wondered if they would go blue. Them dyes are quite strong and can alter the colour pretty good. But, somebody has experimented on everybody's behalf and it's a no,no.
I don't want black so i'm gonna yellow em up. The front is perfect, but some muppet painted the rear one grey . after stripping it back it's effected the colour. so i'm gonna dye em yellow, fit the nos coaster hub and have a set of ally front and coaster rear yellow tuffs. I only wanted to do blue because i'm freshening up some early Z's. I know what i need to know now.

I know that the powder is more like paint mixing

there is also a prob if dying and using them also for ridding / show - the brake rub  - if using white mags then it will show a white brake rub after a while
