Thanks for all the positive comments  :coolsmiley:

Great save man. You've really done it justice :daumenhoch:
It must give you a real Buzz.

Like the others, I think the 880 front is a must.
I don't feel like I have the right to comment but perhaps a black seat might be nicely off-set by those cool Z'ds.

Either way, you done a great job 8) :daumenhoch:

Its good to save these old sheds, from POS to 'As New' really worth the effort

I will look around for a 880, I was looking before but they were quite pricey for just the caliper alone. I will keep looking.

Any joy on the TA dude?

Weeksy

TA is next! Im not going to get it rechromed, I've pussied out!

Very nice and the colour combo is great, but others mentioned 880's or 901's on an '84??     No, no and thrice no.

It's your ride and I'm not telling you how to build it, that is of course your prerogative, but to suggest putting 880/901's on a freestyler from '84 is just wrong (imho).

I'm just a bit fed up with paying so much for a set of 1000's, 901/880 is going to have to do it Im afraid, and 1000's just shouldnt go with tech 4's, it would be another £200 which I would rather put into something else . . . I've just realised I'm ranting  :-X

Jj, that stupid seatpost kept me awake 2 nights thinking how I was going to get it out the frame without ruining one if them . . . then you just pull the thing out, brilliant! I can sleep easy now  :idiot2:

Ben , Im not the Haro masters biggest fan , much prefer the Sports myself but that build could convert me , love it mate  :smitten:

I agree on the comments on putting an 880 on the front though  ;)

The Black zeds make a refreshing change to Tuffs too , love those .

Very nice resto Ben  :4_17_5:

I know what your saying and I wasn't having a dig at your ride, like I said, it's yours and you build it how you want to (and I think it's great by the way). It was more as a general comment about being era/style correct for the anal people like me.

I have spent 16 hours on those knackered tuffs already! Another 8 hours and I reckon and they will be ready to roll! Im tempted to dye them blue for the Haro, like you said though, they can wait til winter and Im stuck in the house because of the crap weather!

Dia compe  880's were designed for freestyle bikes though and along with tech 4 levers were made in late 1984 , they even came supplied on Haro's

The Haro master 85 was supplied with 880 front  not MX900/1000 ( but granted 84 Sport bike  came with a MX 900 set up I think  ;) )

Elina flyte tech seat 1984, Redline forklifter stem 1984 and Shimano SX pedals 1983  8)

Not sounding clever or telling you how to suck eggs , just trying to  justify their era correctness . :)

I love era correctness on builds too , it's a priority to a great build  :smitten:
