AM @ the track / PM @ Casualty :-(
« on: April 19, 2010, 12:35 PM »
Went to Rushcliffe Park in Nottz to ride the track with my daughter... she had a wipe out first time down in some loose gravel but got back on it...top girl!

She went off to get a drink and I had a couple of runs - hit one of the last jumps all wrong and the next thing I knew I couldn't see anything and I could hear this strange noise, which I then realised was me making an animalistic 'Im in pain' noise! My shoulder was killing and my vision was coming back. Someone helped me up, asked if I was ok and told me my bike was ok ;-) and I staggered over to my wife & kids who told me I looked green ;-]

My wifey drove me to Grantham A&E where they did some tests as I had smacked my head ( glad I was wearing a helmet ) and told me I had broken my collar bone :-(

Thankfully it was my left shoulder and I dont need to drive but I'm out of riding for a bit...  :buck2:

Could have been loads worse so I feel pretty grateful that its my first break ever and I can still get on with life and work.

I'LL BE BACK  :daumenhoch:

Fookin pleased I had a helmet on  :police:

sorry to hear that, just take it easy.   Id highly recommend using body armor from now on!

Yeah,  I thought it would be easy too.

My brain seems to know what its doing but my body is clueless!!

After my first couple of crashes I bought some Body Armour, Knee/shin pads etc, etc.

I still crash.  It still hurts.....................but not as much damage caused!! :daumenhoch:

I was hoping for one off of old Peter Quad but he doesn't sound very sympathetic. Bugger... quite literally
