building
« on: April 13, 2010, 10:56 PM »
I know most of you spend time building bikes, mostly I seem to spend my time build jumps & getting about 5mins to ride them, haha.  Anyways I'm going to keep a little weblog thing of building & riding this summer + anything else that intrests me, nothing too mad.  A few of my mates are helping rebuild the wooden ramps too, so I'm proper looking forward to riding them - going to have a few new bits this year.  Been a few days of hard work + I took a little slam on my ribs the other day too, haha, having fun hurts sometimes.

update this thread too its easy as we're here anyway, not all of us follow blogs ;)

Eye, I know what you mean, its mostly for me mates who come down a ride with me to look at and put pics up.

I'm trying to put the little flash player on here, cannot seem to get it to preview, what do you need to pop between the flash tags to get it to show up in a topic? 'flash=200,200][/flash'

More or less reskinned now.

Heres my young newschool friend Dean with a nohander fakie (sorry bout the quality of pic, haha)

He kind of learnt nohanded airs too, but was lucky to catch his first ever go, I seen the look of fear in his eyes as he just grabed his bars + hung on for life  :2funny: haha

Looks good, but what are you going to do in winter/wet weather. Have you got shelter or covers?

No shelter Keith, its out of action in the winter mostly - you get the odd dry day.

I meant, to stop all the timber rotting?

Just green fence paint  ;D  I think the new wood has been treated, a friend of mine got it via his work for a little cheaper + we all chiped £30 in.

Ahh, and that clip was taken before we painted it.  I'll post up a clip of some pics/vids of better riders with its full greeness at some point, I mostly use it to warm up for the trails + I want to work on getting better airs + lip tricks.  I have also added another 4 foot on the other side with a hip to pop back into the volcano - looking forward to riding that.
