Knee/shin pads?
« on: March 29, 2010, 01:37 PM »
Anyone use knee/shin pads under jeans or pants?
Any good?
Race pants used to have knee and shin padding built so I've never used separate pads before. I wouldn't fancy anything too bulky, so what's good for pedalling in?

Ive been using Dianese 3x under jeans, they are pretty light and flexible. (Theyve saved me from my Crupi's a few times!   :daumenhoch:)

A good gasket type knee pad with some footy shin pads would get you going Jon, 661 racelite/comp are good entry level ones, race face do some good uns or as mentioned Dianese are good, you aint gonna know till you try, but as I said, if you see some good knee pads cheap, just go to sports direct and get some cheap footy shin pads.

I just wear knee pads, no shinnies, unless I wear shorts, then there is a rule about racing with un covered shins, so I have race face zero knee/shin pads for the summer, just knee pads if i am not racing though

Have a butchers on chainreactioncycles, they normally have some deals  :daumenhoch:

And I would avoid over the jean pads as cleary Orgasmdonors pads have given him rickets :LolLolLolLol:
Whats the matter Kid, don't ya like clowns? Don't we make you laugh? Aint we fukkin funny?

Thanks for the advice fellas. I've ordered some 661 racelights from chainreaction - 20 quid including postage :daumenhoch:
Oh, and I treated myself to the Stompin Stu DVD whilst I was at it, so that might be available to borrow at some point for t'northern monkeys.
