Got given an STA frame last year - think I posted a pic a while back


Anyways, got the paint off - It took ages, its been black, red, yellow, pink, silver&black , its seen some action.



and built it up.



I do like STAs, solid as.

One of the previous owners cut the lugs off - I thought about getting someone to weld some new ones on, but I thought I'd try the plate out first - seems OK, only riden around the drive so far, has a very differnt feel to ad990s.

Cheers, well its just chucked together with odd bits, as you can tell, haha.  But yer, Looks great in raw it think - got inspired by someones rawed STA on here - I forget whos it is.

Glen, yer I had a bit of hastle getting it to work, but I found some oddessys that pulled in real tight - so its well clear.  I still prefere 990s as you can feel the bite a bit more on the lever.  My mate is going to weld some 990 lugs on when he gets his new welder next month, so I'll switch back then.

Another mate has some old smackdaddies he's going to donate - so I'll kill the 1p cranks too, upgrade to 3p cranks .
