prolite freestyler Craig Campbell rep
« on: March 30, 2010, 09:26 PM »
I have been building this for three years  and I cannot hang on any longer. I was going to wait until I had rstored the DX pedals, but its taking too long.
Anyway, I bought this in 1985 from Surrey cycles and sold it  in 1987 for £50
By luck I got it back for nothing ayear later and it has lived in the shed ever since.

I will put better pics up when the pedals are done.

Spec: Based on the 1985 bike he used in kosp. Except coaster, but i had this originally and can't bare to get rid of it.

Prolite Freestyler CC replica

Cheers for the comments.  :daumenhoch:
Jay - that picture is about all I had to base the bike on.
Getting the bits was not to bad, but I did panic over the Decals a little bit.
Del painstakingly put a set of vinyl together, but in the end Munners came up with a set. Don't know where from, but I have not seen a set in green before or since then.
Alas the chrome is not original.  :'( The bottom bracket and seat tube were badly pitted and I had a  bottom bracket boot that must have spun as it took all the chrome off. So it was rechormed twice the first job was really poor.
Gazza(mr p.k.) -  come round and take a look anytime mate, you know your welcome.

Just got to get them pedals done now...oh and put the tyres on in the right direction   ;)

Cheers...Steve

I think your right. I had a green hot seat but I could nopt decide what it was from the picture and sold to to fund the Kashi, which I thought looked better. Still have the straight post though. I may get another Hot seat just for authenticity if I bring too MK or post on BOTM, but will keep the Kashi as the hot seat looks a bit stumpy  ;)
