1982 supergoose 2

as im sat here kicking my heels still waiting for my t.a to be chromed i thought id fire up a pic of my new goose.some of you might think that youve seen this one before but youd be wrong,that was mongoose 2,this ones my freshly scored rechromed supergoose 2 although i did rape the goose 2 for its clothing!anyhows here she is identical in everyway to the last except for the lightning bolt,all nos.fingers crossed the t.a will be done by next weekend

yes defo a notch up the ladder!!it was always my intention to have a super first time around but couldnt find one,when this one came up on the bay already rechromed i couldnt resist.

now you say that, but i remember from the yank forums that it came from the horses mouth that they were all to cóck and would come from the factory either way.

I think the general rule of thumb is that they were "supposed" to be red at the front but with the human factor there's plenty escaped into the wild the other way round. The catalogues from 79-83 show the decal with red at the front for the main part with just a couple of exceptions - the KOS cruiser when shown as a frame/fork set in the 81 catalogue and two-six cruiser in the 82/83 catalogue has the orange at the front when shown as a complete and as a frameset.
Same human error goes for positioning - to some degree fork decal position varies slightly but downtube and stay decals can vary greatly - good old mongoose - never rules only guidlines

Think you saw the Cali survivor I had John with the downtube decal positioned about 1.5" away from the headtube
