Another ebay link  :P

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rare-Old-School-Standard-20-BMX-Dirt-Jumper-Frame_W0QQitemZ200451139305QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2eabd1a6e9

Its a pre-production run from Standard - I'm guessing Harris may know history about these?  I've never seen one before.

smells like a load of hairy goolies to me.
they made the bicycle motocross with no gusset, which (despite terrible photos) i reckon that isn't
the first prototype STA was, well, an STA, Jeremy Verhulst rode it.  Had the pierced seattube toptube junction and classic gusset, which all jump and freestyle bikes had for years.

mmm, yer I wasnt sure if its true.  The first standard I ever saw was in BMXplus I think, haha, its was a lengthy test, they did mention the shorty.  The lenghty was, well err, short ;D  - I rode one for a while, never much liked it because of the short frontend- loved the STA in 21" tt though.  standard 250s are my favorite all time BMX frames.

Had a look, I can not see it - all I could see was some s&m frames + bits he had listed.  was it a 21" tt?

can you tell if the seattube flares out at the bottom on the ebay one? it looks like it might.. (the photos are awful) yours does Dan.  I got my first lengthy in 94, it had that flared tube on it, i nearly gentlemans relished everywhere when i took it out the box, it looked SO AWESOME!
