Helmets..

At RVR/Heywood track this morning, one of our staff asked a kid why he wasn`t wearing a lid.His response was "I`ve got a fullface but I`m not allowed to wear it at the track in case I scratch it." :crazy2: What chance do we have with teaching track safety with parents like that?

most parents are clueless and/or cofused about bike safety ie
child wearing helmet but wearing slip on croc shoes ,sandals  :wtf:
all safety equipment but fooked bike with forks on wrong way round :wtf:
all possible permutations of the above have been spotted within one hour at Yeadon track. :wtf:

i even told one bloke that his kids bikes forks were on the wrong way yet he still let him ride it,he was wearing a helmet though :LolLolLolLol: :wtf:

HELMETS RULE if you ask me.

I would have had a messy face and a lot of concussion the other day without one...

But... on the other hand... f I wasn't 38 my Dad may well have bolloked me for doing this to it though...

Rage, rage against the dying of the light."

thursday night at hersden gate practice a young kid came off in front of me and Kai, no gloves, pizza rash on his hands, even for gates me and kev had the full shit on, Lid,armour, gloves.
yeah i know that nearly 30 yrs ago we didn't wear lid's all the time, but we wore gloves and tracks were dirt but even so i still fooked a shoulder that gives me grief now
prehaps it's cos i'm older but i look at a track and put the kit on nowdays and if my girls raced then so would they, hell i make them wear a lid to go to the shops even if they think it aint cool  :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:
