I remember new malden halfords had 400 cranks and they were in there for years , always wondered if they sold them or just bin them when bmx died

the store in queen street cardiff had 400 flights locked in a cabinet to stop us getting out mits on them. cant remember any other brands other that were mentioned, we had a mate who had a saturday job there which was very useful!!

i remember my local halfords had a scorpion brakedancer a mongoose decade and a mongoose fs1, they also sold shimano dx pedals for £12 a pair. a mate of mine still has his mongoose fs1 he got from halfords bitd.

Then restored a little while later. Got proper Halfords pads for it about 2yrs ago and have never fitted them.

yep, i remember flying back from tenerife in the early nineties for something, i was walkin through the top end of lichfield city and spotted 400's in the window for £40.. :daumenhoch:

I worked in Halfords on the Moor in Sheff late 80's

Very little BMX bits as mountin bikes were all the rage, I remember knickin a pair of tech 4s though.

It had two floors and was on the corner by the road (cant remember the name of road). I "acquired" my Red Suntour Power stem for my California from there  ::)
