Helping I.D ing frame / forks / other bits
« on: March 07, 2010, 03:11 PM »
Picked this up today, unsure on what most of it is, but had a few bits so got it bought. Any help on frame, forks, cranks, bars etc?

Bits I do know are: Primo Tenderisers, xposure chainring and guard, not sure on era thou? Wheels are primo front and seventies rear, and sun rims, again unsure on era. Frame and forks, cranks and bars are a mystery to me though!

Frame looks like a Macneil Miron, Hoffman superforks & Federal cranks, bars might be Macneil as well, all late 90's/early 00's. Nice old beast  :daumenhoch:

cool, hopefully someone can confirm the frame as macneil, didnt even think of superforks for the forks, but guess it makes sense with the stem. Would the frame or forks be marked anywhere? I had a quick look, but didnt see any stamps or anything, just numbers on the bb.

I dont know about Mcneil stuff really, presume mirron was on them at some point then?

This will be broken up this week and all for sale, if any bits appeal to anyone?

99.9% that's a Miron. Macneil is Miron's company btw  :daumenhoch: the bars could be anything really, all 2 piece tend to look the same!

yup, having had a snoop around online its defo a mirron, cheers guys! The forks do indeed seem to be superforks too. I have put all the bits in the for sale section now, will split the bike up tomorrow or tuesday. There is a Mirron on ebay at the mo for £95, which seems very strong to me!
