I've got to agree with Joe, modern Full sus are so much better to ride & they climb really well too & take all the abuse you can through at them  8)

I brought one of these in December

I love it  :smitten:

I'm firmly in the sprung camp when it comes to MTB's too.  A sorted full sus bike just rides so well.  I'm sure mine would climb okay too if I had the inclination........

I would definately reccomend trying different bikes, get on a shop demo day if possible,

I have owned various full suss mtbs but that is the THIRD Cove Stiffee I have owned, I kept coming back to them so decided to stick withn this one.(its like a big bmx with the seat down, climbs well with the forks wound down to 80mm and flies downhill with them wound out to 125mm)

I recently had a Yeti 575 for a fortnight but much as I wanted to I couldnt get on with it (only full sussers I really liked were my Santa Cruz Superlight and Heckler, both single pivots)

i've a few full sussers (XC and Freeride/DH) but in the end i just felt like i was just a passenger on them going down a hill......no picking lines just hanging on, fun for a while but i founf my general riding got worst over time.

i'd go for the Cove over a full suss......but then i guess we're diferent  :daumenhoch:

What tyres are you crazy kids running on their XC vessels?
I just popped some Maxxis High Roller foldings on in 2.1 and 1.9 on mine for the spring

I was thinking of getting the Enduro, it has a little more travel, but the Trek Remedy was just all round better, it gets 9/10 out of 10 in most of the tests, the only parts I have changed on it are

1. The seat, for a Fizik

2. The Seat Post, for an adjustable height one

3. The rear Cassette, for a 34T

4. I also swapped the shifters for XTRs just because I had a pair, but would have stuck with the XT if I had not.

If I'm honest I prefer a hardtail...full sussers are just too bouncy.  But then I am a hobbyist, rather than full out.  Perhaps some peeps on here could let you try their bikes so you could buy from experience...the ride of a bike is very subjective...

Ray.

It depends on the quality of the bike, I had a 96 Specialized FSR & yes that was just very Bouncy, but todays Full Sus bikes are so much better, they climb better & do not bounce about, they just stick to the trail.
