Wheel Building Question
« on: March 02, 2010, 09:27 PM »
I want to respoke some wheels as they are a bit tatty.  Can I remove and replace a few spokes at a time, or does the wheel have to be completely striped down and be rebuilt?

Should be fine Lee, as long as you can get the spokes out, and in again
A long time ago, in a land far away!

If it's a back wheel please remember to take the freewheel off first if you delace the wheel completely.

If it is just a couple off knackered spokes it should be ok if not strip them and start again. The strength in the wheel is in the way the spokes are sprung together, if that makes any sense.
