Thread lock question?

My LHS crank arm keeps coming loose and the arm falls off.  Its really bloody annoying me, but its probably my fault for buying a £7.99 Bottom Bracket off ebay?

Does anyone know the difference between a specific 'Thread Lock Loctite' and a good quality high viscosity Super Glue?

Will super glue do the same job as loctite?  It says it glues metal and calls its self 'BondLoc' suggesting it will.

Any advice would be appreciated.#

I would go for the locktite as super glue can be brittle.

go for the threadlock mate, super glue is only good for glueing your fingers together

halfords ,,i used it on my maxycross cranks for the cruise last year mate ,,and held up a treat

Have you tried putting a spring washer on it?

use a little loctite thread lock...most car spares sell the type thats in a little aplicator not unlike a lipsyl tube, kind of wax crayon...ish

about 2 quid a pop

Have you tried putting a spring washer on it?

I found some threadlock in Halfords earlier but was quickly talked into the spring washer method, so I'm going to go for it, might even do both?
