Think this "ultimate" bike should have started off with a frame and forks first.

How you gonna choose between 7b, 7c, 7x, proclass, tuffs, motomags etc. when we don't know what era frame ?

Set of pro-class on a redline square back anyone

Or maybe motomags on a VDC  :LolLolLolLol:

'Ultimate' is very subjective as everyone will have different idea's.  This allows what are considered to be the most iconic parts by the masses, not only rarer and exclusive exotica, but the parts that we either used, loved or felt we could feasibly purchase BITD.

Should be renamed the most iconic BMX, rather than ultmiate.

I think people are voting for different reasons but it's most popular that counts.
Maybe that should be the title rather than ultimate ???

...either that or 'Ok lets build the Most Popular, according to a bunch of romatic old farts caught up on a nostalgia trip, hankering after a glimpse of some kind of innocent joy felt when life consisted of simple pleasures, that's been slowly eroded by the passage of time and the day to day mundane trivialities of adulthood, Old School BMX'

I thought that might be funny but it's actually made me feel quite sad.
 ;D :'( I need a hug.

confused to feck i am.if its race then hard anodised pro class were supposedly the bollox .i would pick graphite
zeds for race as well over graphite tuffs for the weight.mind you, graphites were too stiff and brittle for
freestyle really.is this exotica that we all had heard of and wanted or what was actually the best for its purpose?

Araya 7x for race , skyway for freestyle, but for both it would have to be skyway. Answer= Skyway

how do you know that?  was the frame/fork thing discussed?

From the first thread it was stated that we would do RACE FIRST, then FREESTYLE so there was no crossover with parts :daumenhoch:
