Been busy. . .

I put an MCS stem, Redline Proline V-Bars, Araya 7b/7C rim combo (rebuilt the wheels, which had re-anodized 7bs previously), Oakley II grips and Haro Handle on it, to finally complete my 1979, red,  Torker L.P. build. Nearly everything on it is in used/survivor condition, just the way I like it. Then to cap it off, I built this number plate. It's meant to be a replica of the one in the early Factory Plates ad. I made my best guess as to the colors. I think it looks killer on this bike. Now, to find a red, Torker, double-clamp stem pad to complete the 1979 look.

I also built most of these over the weekend while also weeding stickers for about 12 hours. What a pain in the neck. . .literally.

daz bmx it!

Thanks much, guys. Of all my bikes, it's my fave, and I have some nice bikes, if I may say so myself.

Plates are for sale--all are custom--so hit me up. . .info@fortyfour16design.com.

Thanks much,

Michael

Here's the parts breakdown:

This is one of 5 or 6 Torkers I have. It's my fave. It's a 1979 L.P. frame all OG with SN on BB shell and early non-drilled forks repowdered/repop stickers. I've actually improved it since these pics were taken. it now has OG, red, 1978, Redline Proline V-bars, 6-bolt MCS Stem and red Oakley II grips. New pics to come, along with some or all of my other Torkers.

Frame: 1979 Torker L.P. (Low Profile), all OG
Fork: Torker undrilled (powder coated by C4 with my SBS stickers)
Headset: Tange MX-5 (NOS)
Stem: MCS Six-Bolt
Bars: Redline Proline V-Bar
Grips: Oakley II
Brakes: Shimano Tourney calipers (NOS) with Haro Handle, Shimano Tourney cable and first-gen, Kool Stop Finned pads (NOS)
Seatclamp: Dia-Compe Two-Bolt
Seatpost: Alloy fluted (NOS)
Saddle: Cycle Pro Shotgun
Cranks: Shimano Dura Ace 175 with 39T Shimano chainring (NOS chainring)
Pedals: Reedy
Chain: Izumi black and gold
Bottom Bracket: Torker sealed
Wheels: Araya 7bs front, Araya 7C rear rims, Shimano DX hubs (NOS dated July 1979) with 14T sprocket, gold alloy nipples, Union SS spokes
Tires: Comp II 20 x 2.125 front, Comp II 20 x 1.75 rear
Other: Torker pads (NOS), Custom-Made Forty Four 16 Number Plate
