never had anything to do with these before are they fitted with writing facing up or down?

I've just fitted onne to the TA so I'll look tomorrow morning when I go back to work but I thought it was down. $:-\$

Depends what headset you have, they should be writing up-dished upwards.
But the dont fit all headsets very well.

yes mate, the idea is that you fit them under the bottom race and they dish up towards the bottom cup, thus preventing crap getting in the gap between the two
