 :) Anyone have pics of startgates,esp MK gate? Will be having a new gate built for RVR track soon and need some ideas...

Just make sure it aint like the Scottish Championships one!!

They stuck metal plates on the gate to aid grip and they were terrible in the wet and everyone was struggling!!  :LolLolLolLol:

MK gate is 2"x2" square section with diamond plate pads. These are due to be changed to shark tooth as they give more grip and less air resistance.

It is made in 3 sections the centre is 2 lanes and the other sections are obviously 3 each. each section has 2 lugs that locate it to the start hill and its bolted together with 6 m16 bolts. the longer sections are 3.2m any bigger makes it hard to find a van that they will fit in.

I have set this gate up about 200 times so know it intimately, feel free to ask me further questions.
