Hi guys. I'm a lurker here. In the 80's a cool family friend heard I wanted a bmx so bought me a subscription to BMX Action Bike. In an attempt to stop me being a book reading tw@t. Kinda worked, and my parents bought me a peice of shit bmx...condor lynx or something. All I wanted was a skyway TA to build up. I soon became a guitar head, and that's my main passion...still is.
Skip forward, and I'm still a tw@t, but in a attempt to fulfill all those unfulfilled childhood dreams I now own 3 millenium falcons, and some nice guitars that I never got for xmas. But no Skyway.
With guitars, I look for old paint over refins, and on a vintage peice it's 50% $$$differernce. I've seen quite a few lovely restored skyway frames round £500 mark, but not many survivors so unsure on value. Is there much $$$$ difference betweem a spotless show worthy repaint/chrome, or a pretty good but riden survivor with good dropouts and maybe repro decals?
