personally, i would strip it, regrease all the relevant bits, and rebuild it, as is, for the ultimate rat bike.

some ame's and a grubby kashi and your done?

x2

Survivor bikes rock

Leave it as it is....  :smitten:

in 1982/3 this was how mine looked a few days after getting it from alans with my dad (he worked for British rail so we bought it back on the train - still unbuilt in the box :D aged 12/13 i bet i was like  ;D all the way back to Derby.)
Changed the tyres for comp 3's but nothing else, Still love Torker's now :smitten:

If painting, i vote for white. Theirs a junior in a strange pale blue in the museum that looks good aswell (reckon they were around in that colour later on as well - the Lunn's or someone like that?)

Keep as survivor...  restore to former glory....  whichever way you turn you'll never please everybody or anybody sometimes!!  For me, it's resto all the way.  I think she'll look sweet brought back 'to life'.  Re-chrome may be tricky, as you say, the rust looks bad and i doubt it would hide any pitting, depends how fussy you are....  a nice white powder coat... well, now you're Torking (forgive the pun!).
Can't wait to see the results whichever way you go.  Good Luck.  8)
