i just got a warning e-mail from ebay too.
Here it is:

We can see that you've had contact with subwax through eBay recently.

We've been looking into activity on this account and taken action if we needed to. To protect this member's privacy, we can't share any more details about their account.

People sometimes misuse eBay accounts by sending emails from them. In these emails, they invite you to buy or sell outside eBay, or ask questions that have nothing to do with eBay. They do this in the hope that you'll respond and give them your email address.

We strongly recommend you treat emails from this member with caution and don't respond if you hear from them again.

Tips for safe trading on eBay

Always complete your purchases on the eBay website - it's the safest way to trade with other eBay members. Always make sure that your user ID is listed as the winning bidder on the 'Item ended' page before sending money for a purchase.

If someone asks you to buy or sell an item outside eBay, we strongly recommend you ignore their request and report it to us. If you buy or sell outside eBay, you won't be protected by our Feedback system and protection services.

Keeping eBay a safe and reputable place to buy and sell is our top priority. To find out more about buying safely on eBay, open a new window on your browser and copy these links into it:

If you've sent payment for an item but not received it, please let us know. You can contact us from any eBay Help page.

neil  subwax is the only guy that i've ever had bad feeling with, it all started

with him wanting me to paint some of his bikes, fook me the emails went on and on

with him questioning my ability and knowledge, one question after the other, i just felt he

was undermining my knowledge, in the end i told him to fook off and pay his over inflated

prices from the states, his relpy was fine your agressive and i dont want to deal with you ;D

well thank fook for that then,  one strange bloke  :idiot2:

agree 100%,

he's posted this on the museum, looks like Ebay are fooked off and they've decided to make it very difficult for him.

"Guys - more Ebay / Paypal grief for me:

They have suspended my account while they investigate the items I have for sale are actually mine. They are, of course, all mine, however Paypal need to verify that. They are asking the monumental task of wanting me to provide a Paypal receipt for every frame I am now selling. I have thousands of transactions over the years that I have been collecting, and providing this is no small task.

I ask everyone who has bought something from me to be patient - I have sent most of my parts out, the rest will be sent within the next few days. If you need to contact me, please pm me.

To quote from the email I have received from Ebay:

"Please understand we're not accusing you of dishonest behaviour. Our top priority is to keep our online community safe, which is why we'd like to ask you for some further information. "

I am working hard to resolve this, so please be patient. This will be worted out soon, and normal service will resume."

Dealt with him loads over the years and never had an issue with him. Haven't chatted to him in a while but we'd chat quite a bit on MSN a few years ago.

Got the same email, first time i've had any contact with him personally, tbh was OK, we were bidding on a PL20, got outbid so offered us a second chance on another PL20 he had which we weren't keen on so it was then put on ebay by Subwax.

ebay have cancelled stuff of mine before, and sent emails to people...

i was selling some powerwings on there, but emailing the high bidder thru ebay telling him i had the ripper f/f as well if he wanted to make an offer...  ebay cancelled the powerwings and sent me a sh!tty email saying i was attempting to trade outside of ebay.

He's probably 'ended early' on too many items and eBay don't like too much of that. :daumenhoch:

I hope it was nothing to do with the PL20's, i asked him to email pics, then if we liked we were gonna bid, had no intention of doing it outside ebay, just wanted pics to see what condition was  :'(

I sold a Saracen road bike on ebay recently, had it listed for £250 BIN.  A lad messaged me asking if I could reduce the price and I said I would do it for £225 cash on collection (he had to collect it anyway so it saved me all their and paypals fee's).

The conversation went on for 5 or 6 messages when he told me ebay were sending him a warning with every message similar to what is written above.  I told him (through ebay) that it was just ebay being pissed off cos they would miss on my fee's.  I even called them greedy b@stards (through ebay messaging...lol) but they didnt pull my item, I just told the lad he was coming to collect it so I could hardly rip him off.  If it wasnt as described he could walk away.

It does look like they are clamping down on this though, but as I said to him (again through ebay messaging), that it isnt illegal to deal out of ebay.  I could as easily sell it to someone from work and have to pull the auction anyway.  I left it up to him and he went for it when I threw in a helmet. :)

I think they monitor messages for words like 'offer' and 'outside of ebay' cos it would take forever to check every message.  Just choose your wording carefully.  Ebay are greedy bastards but there is no better market place to sell most items so I guess they can be!
