Pandora DTT - all done . . .
« on: January 13, 2010, 04:20 PM »
 . . . and I love it :smitten:

Just posted a couple more pics and a parts rundown in the newschool section of the museum.  Built mainly with Odyssey and budget Blank finishing kit, I'm sure upgrade fever will hit soon (my orange fetish keeps drawing me to the florange Profiles in Stodgy's shop  ;) ). Feels so damn light  :D .  The jury's still out on the low seat tho' it'd be sacrilage to take a hacksaw to such a thing of beauty - hopefully I'll get used to it before arthritis sets in  ;)

Very cool looking  :daumenhoch:

There's supposed to be a 19" tt gyro tabbed version coming out for flatland this year.

Cheers all  :daumenhoch: .  I was almost set to chop off the pivotal mount until I read this on the rideonbmx.com.au blog . . .

. . . a Subrosa Pandora Frame to the specs but with 2 top  tubes and an Inbuilt Pivotal seat post (can be cut if you want to rock the seat sky high with help from a wedge post)

. . . but figured that it wasn't worth it for the small amount of extra height a wedge post would give (most seem pretty short), although I suppose it would save on cutting a seat tube slot.  I guess if I could be sure a standard BMX clamp and post would fit I may be tempted (there's a pic over on bmxmuseum.com with a seat clamp and post fitted) but for now I shall just step away from the hacksaw  ;) .

Ha! Well folks, after all that I've decided to step away from the Pandora and get myself something a little shorter in the toptube that I can leave outside work without more locks than the Bank of England  ::) .  She's a work of art   :smitten:  but if I'm totally honest I need a cheap-ass rider with a sub 20" t/t . . . and I've spent far too much cash this year already.

If any of you folks are interested, please drop me a PM - I'm looking for around £180 posted for the frame (with original receipt and packaging and including mid b/b and Odyssey headset).  Apologies if this is out of order . . . note to self: must sort out site supporters tag this year  ;)

Quick update:  Listed the frame on a well-known auction site at the beginning of last week with very mixed feelings.  It's a blinkin' work of art . . . I love it to bits but a bmx is for riding not looking at  ::)  ;) and to be honest at just 5'2", a 20.5" toptube is far too long for me.  I've found a more suitably sized replacement though in the form of a tiny Fit Logic frame  :D  so I feel I can let her go now . . . sniff  :'( .  Auction ends this evening if anyone's interested . . . just don't cut that pivotal  ;)

I reckon 2 weeks is more than long enough to wait for payment  :tickedoff: - I'm sick to death of non-paying bidders  >:( .  If anyone's interested the DTT will be relisted tomorrow evening.

Yep, done Robbo.  I'm a pretty patient person but I've had this happen a couple of times recently.

Edit 09.02.10:  Just heard from my original buyer with a genuine reason and apology for being unable to complete the purchase.
