Redline flight help
« on: March 25, 2006, 08:18 PM »
Ok,I got some flights(401's) for my group 1,when they arrived the bits as far as i know were all there(ebay special ;))now can anyone help me out just to make sure I fit them correctly,I'm after the order of parts on the spindle staring from the chainring side,I make it....
Chainring/nut/bearing/cage,bearing cage/nut that semi sits inside bearing/lock nut.
I know this sems a stupid question but I had 400's about 20yrs ago....and my memory isnt that good :uglystupid2:
  Any help appreciated
           Cheers

Cheers matt,as for the spacer,I've got what I can only describe as a large washer left over is this it,where does it go,it doesnt fit over the thread of the spindle at all as the hole is too small. :idiot2:

it should look like a really thin washer with a small square part  just like a head set spacer, with 401s you quite often have to file them out a bit to fit on to the spindle
i hope this helps
