Winter Colours for my DP
« on: January 27, 2010, 03:59 PM »
Since I finished my 1st build its been sat there - taken it to the indoor park in Leicester a few times but I want to ride it more regularly.

I decided that I wanted to keep the pink Comp STs and peachy white OGKs in good nick for the summer so I needed a winter look for the bike.

I had a couple of alloy spoked wheels so I wacked them on - waiting on some black Barefeet Odessey tyres...

Never really got on with the forklifter bars and a mate has had some GT bars I brought off Mr Costa that needed filling and sanding for months - so I got those back - they looked sweet just with the primer on - the grey goes nice with the pink cables.

Just trying to get a black seat now... I think Daz has sorted me out.

heres a sh*t upside down pic - no tyres and wheels not screwed in - I'm pretty into it... what do you lads reckon? looks a bit 'new school' colours wise if you ask me  :coolsmiley:

should have blasted them and powder them black, with a black seat and cables should look sweet

Yes Steve - hope your 'Bishop Bashing' hands are on the mend  :daumenhoch:

thanks for the feedback - the bars came up real good with filler and sanding - its just primer on now so I'm waiting to see if I like the feel of em before I do anything else.

I'm into the little splash of pink but black bars are on the cards  :coolsmiley:

this was a low cost rebuild!

£10 to sort the bars
£17 tyres
£free seat off of daz bmx

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=thames+street,+leicester&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=39.184175,96.328125&layer=&ie=UTF8&om=1&z=15&ll=52.641215,-1.131678&spn=0.014687,0.061111

you can't get into it from Thames Street any more - go up St John Street - Canning street runs left but you need to go right and drive right down to the end - it looks a bit skank down there but its nice inside - BMX is Thursday nights only from 4
