GT Frame what year and what model

bought a gt for my son was told it was a 2001 tour but cant find a 2001 model in bikepedia can some one help me out

numbers and letters under the frame are S1HT28973 and 30209

thats a 2001 gt grind dude, they only made tours till 2000 with pacman dropouts then they were replaced for a year with the dave volker and jamie bestwick models,then gt went under and got bought out by pacific cycles then gt were shite and sold in halfords till now. hope that bit of history helps
