What I tend to find is that I spend ages searching and waiting for some item to turn up somewhere, only to eventually give up, buy some alternative and then .... Yep the original item I wanted suddenly appears on ebay! :'(

I am now the proud owner of Dave Youngs G.H.P. cruiser. (Thanks Dave. I know it hurt.) I was involved with it's import into the U.K. in about 1984-5. Me Ed Sedgwick and Guy (Bass Generator) imported it. I think another member on here had it before Dave. So now all I have to do is find some G.H.P. cruiser bars and another G.H.P. seat post.

Hey Bobby

Got that Cruiser by default in 85/86 when Ed managed to get my Torker cruiser, which was on loan to him at the time, stolen at some freestyle comp in Newcastle. Raced it in 86 and got 1NE on it then it when in the loft for a lot of years until Dave wanted a Cruiser to put 26" wheels on and do the bike courier thing he got into (in about 93/94) so you managed to get it off the longest custodian todate. Hope you enjoy it, it's a good ride.

Andy

P.S. I've still got the Haro I traded for it.
Why oh why do I still buy kids bikes!

Nice one! So you remember Ed Sedgwick? I remember the day that cruiser came into the office on Low Friars Street. Do you remember Ed's girlfriend and her sister? :o We used to go up to his house to do some pool jumping until we got banned and Ed got kicked out because we ripped the pool lining. LOL We must get together next time I am up.

Hey Bobby,

Can't even remember what Ed looks like to be honest and only had a few dealings with him in 85/86 when he was trying to get the GHP and Patterson importing going (I got a couple of Patterson sticker packs off him). Yeh next time yer up me and Dave will take yer to Hartlepool so yer can try one of yer GHP's out.

Bobby, name your weekend, no idea about the wheels track, work long hours and have no transport so don't get out of the city centre  much,  if you fancy a cruise round b'ham  and a few beers, then let me know a good weekend and lets sort it out

Nice one

At last, after bidding on the last 6 or so pairs of graphite tuffs on e-bay I have finally got these :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7187549890

I only need the front so I`m not that bothered that the rear is cracked and not the same hub as the front  ;)
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'
