just wondering whats best for inner brake cable when threading through outer cable to prevent friction. is it grease or oil ? as i will be using this on a pitbull brake caliper

Bit of grease wiped on the inner before you thread it through
And if its for a rider use a linear cable, the outer cable wont compress like an old one will...

Linear cable housing is straight whereas regular cables are coiled.A lot of cables these days are also slic type-they have a teflon impregnated plastic tube for the inner wire to pass through...

stick to a lighter, thinner grease & you can always put some oil down the outer first too...
