It took a year of grinding her down before it changed from `no` to `how big is this ramp going to be then` and I knew I was in  :daumenhoch:

Mind you it cost me a new three piece suite and a family holiday in Portugal this summer  :idiot2:

I'm at that stage now.  Every time we're at the Home improvement (B & Q) place, I slide the plywood sheets onto the floor at an angle, like a kickramp to demonstrate to the wife, that "it'll be no trouble at all"  and i say things like " wow that is cheap for ply" ;D.  she hasn't got past the 'NO" stage yet, but she'll come around. One factor that she keeps bringing up is that we rent the place, and the owners wont' like it. I explain that every house owner would love a half pipe in their back garden... and even showed her your backyard ramp, and say " see... everyone else has one......" :)

built this one in winter 96. hehe pretty small but was fun
we would pull the ramps apart and jump in between them.

after that one we built another that was a foot taller. that was dope. but really shaky.

that one above though - the one side would fold up and it became a quarter pipe. used to use it next to another quarter pipe we built, that was up against the wall of my dad's workshop unit.

it eventually rotted away by the end of last century.

good fun though.

by 2002 my dad no longer had his workshop / big yard so there was nowhere to build ramps :(

i think i done 6ft radius on the transitions , i wanted to keep at least 7ft flat bottom so you have enough time to think between walls .   its bloody tight but good fun, small platforms so if you get it wrong your either in the field or in the apple tree... :buck2:

Hey Bill, i take it you dont believe in saving the forests mate!  :LolLolLolLol:
Me thinks you've built that to last for life eh,you'd need a bloody 2ton bike to brake that bugger!!! ;D
Are you expecting tornados down south???
I made my quarter pipe out of cls 3" x 2" and thats plenty strong enough.
It will be a brilliant ramp when you've finish it though. :daumenhoch:

I have built it to last  :daumenhoch:

All of the structual timber is reclaimed floor joists from a couple of refurbs, but I had to buy all the plywood sheets and the 5.4m lenghs of 4"x 2"  :(

Do you mean Bill finishing the ramp off, or
The ramp finishing Bill off?

I think the latter will happen 10 mins after the former   :LolLolLolLol:  only joking..
