bit of stem refurb

sort of moved away from high mirror polishing and doing a bit of machined affect finish , moanjam ask me to refurb a mark 1 tuff neck stem
and a old goose stem

That is a real nice finish mate 8)

I like a good shine ;D and  the brushed finish is bang on.

Just goes to show you sure know how to work with metals as well as paint too :daumenhoch:

and that pro neck stem i have redone the bolts by taking the oxegen out of the metal , my friend has a kit  "its amazing how it works "

The finish is lovely but the 1st pic of the restored sq corner stem shows the top cap has less of a curve than the base.

If you kept the cap bolted to the base then machined the front and sides prior to polishing/brushing, you would get a perfect match top and bottom and less (or no) curve. :daumenhoch:

That's how to achieve the pukka Tuff Neck squareness. ;D
