My ebay Hutch
« on: January 09, 2010, 10:34 AM »
Thought i'd share this with you guys ... not really a race man but when i seen this on a buy it now on ebay i thought i'd squeeze it into my collection!
Checked the newly listed bikes on ebay yesterday and this popped up after being listed for an hour at (IMO) a very good price, not really one to buy completes but i couldnt resist. The guy even put it in his van and delivered it to me this morning!
Absolutly MINT Hutch Pro Racer ... og flawless chrome .. think i'll put a Kashi aero on it and some single pinches i have and leave it like that.. i'm happy  :)

Serial no is J804095 and under the BB ... its a later one with the dodgy Hutch stamping on the brake bridge .. made in Japan is it?

It's a Taiwanese made Pro Racer(as long as the T.T length is 19.5)

Are they not very good, the ones with the red and blue decals?

the welding is of lesser quality and the brake bridge stamp is different to the USA frames(doesn't look as sharp, letters more rounded) still woultn't mind one for the collection though.

Yeah, I saw that as soon as it was listed and decided to leave it as I dont want/need anymore bikes.  Figured it was Taiwan and thought ProRaider, and you just made me shit myself when you said Pro Racer as I was thinking they were only US made.

Not bad price though, especially if you sell on the twin pinchers.

What other parts are on it?  Is the post Hutch, and what make are the wheels, brakes, pedals, stem and bars?

Yeah the guy had it up as a Pro Star?! I thought it was a good price.  Araya 7x rims with suntour hubs, Victor pedals, hutch post, MX1000 brake, Suntour stem, Tioga bars

It's certainly a nice looking bike  :4_17_5:

I bought a badly listed Hutch off ebay a year or two back, it ended up being a Pre serial US made Hutch Junior. It was easy to spot who made it due to the Stencil in the Brake bridge.

My Ebay Hutch find stripped.

One build a year, the only way to get it right. No rushing involved.
