and a old goose stem

and that pro neck stem i have redone the bolts by taking the oxegen out of the metal , my friend has a kit  "its amazing how it works "

i presume he has just used wet-n-dry sanding using a block, going through the grades until you get the desired finish...

am i right nelly?  am i? eh!

The finish is lovely but the 1st pic of the restored sq corner stem shows the top cap has less of a curve than the base.

If you kept the cap bolted to the base then machined the front and sides prior to polishing/brushing, you would get a perfect match top and bottom and less (or no) curve.

That's how to achieve the pukka Tuff Neck squareness.
