Dying A'ME Grips?
« on: January 09, 2010, 09:03 AM »
I bought a set of grips which I thought were black, turns out they're dark purple.  :(

Is it possible to dye them black at all?

I have never had any problems dying AME grips, there earlier ones anyway. Never done the newer type.

Boil the water, pop in the dye add some salt and boil/simmer until you're happy with the depth of the black.

Simple, Bob's you're Uncle and Fanny's you're Aunt  :daumenhoch:

i tried to do some white bubble script a'me's the other night and nearly fooked em right up trying to dye em.
i think it was because of the age and they had gone hard though.
been sat in bleach ever since as they turned lovely brown  :-\
