Need some Prolite help please
« on: December 24, 2009, 11:56 AM »
Hi All and a Merry Christmas  :)

Does anybody have a 85 Prolite catalogue scan, or an advert i could get a look at. I need info on the Prolite Craig Campbell factory bike and the standard Prolite too if possible. Not sure if the Campbell came as a bike or FF only? need to know colours etc....

Im in and out of the house today so ill check back as i can

Cheers a lot in advance
Dom

I think it came as F&F only, I had one and they were chrome or baby blue and 531 tubing with looped dropouts, the non CC version had straight dropouts.

There are a couple of bad shots here
http://www.fatbmx.com/modules/news/article.php'storyid=6343

From memory CC's was:
CC Signature Frame& Forks
Green or Blue Tuff II's
Skyway EZ bars
Redline Flights
Shimano DX's
DC brakes (Tech 3's and MX1000's??)

Ah wait I've found a thread on here with the perfect replica

Yeah Jay i know. To be honest my hearts not really in it but have had both for a while and wanted to see somthing as a result. The CC was going to be my rider  ::)  but its just in too good a condition to have me all over it so i thoght id try and build it as a factory example if there is such a thing, maybe not. The standard prolite is one of the most appallingly made bmx frames i have seen in person. Its quite interesting comparing the standard to the CC, lots of obvious differences.

shame the CC didnt come in white, would have made life easier  :LolLolLolLol:

If you have scans id be grateful mate, when you get a moment that is, no major rush  :daumenhoch:

were only ever frame and forks. I thought they came in white too.....but memory is a bit vague.

I sold loads for a local bike shop - on a sell 5 get one free basis iirc. Each box came with two set of decals too.........so I had loads and loads of sets for myself.......and nope, I dont still have em.

was my favourite handling boke of all time, tight head angle for its time suited me fine and the platform was great. ran mine with a set of hutch forks..

I'm pretty sure Rosscoe is right and they came in white also - I'll see if I have a scan

Dom, I had a look at my scans today, but couldn't find a scan of a white one.

I used to own decals in 4 different colours - blue on chrome, orange on chrome, green on chrome and blue on white so I'm sure they came in white (just got no proof)  :LolLolLolLol:

just chuck it in the canal and walk away

and you'd be jumping in right after it - even in your favourite Haro jersey
