Just got this message
Andover Regional Off
Having taken advice from the South Committee , we have decided to cancel the South Regional scheduled for 17th Jan ..
Having had to cancel once due to the wettest December , we thought we would be Ok to re-run in Jan !
We have 20 tons of toping , ordered for a work party this Saturday to prep the track , but as it is with the snow , its going to make it Impossible to carry out work in time .. If we do get a thaw , the surface is then going to be very boggy .. So unfortunately we are going to have to inform the Council /First Aid/ Depot Complex/ Portaloos/ Caterers/ et c. etc , the event is off , So the club does not incur cost..
Lesson learnt , don't put your hand up for a winter race in December/ January again !!!
