Finally got some beartraps
« on: January 02, 2010, 07:15 PM »
Decided to treat my Rebel Race build to some Hutch beartraps and Redline flights.  However, I cant stretch to the real thing at the moment, so rather than stay 100% era correct, I thought i'd bend the rules and team some twin pinchers I picked up recently with some JDB specials.

The pedals cost £90 shipped as he had a special on lavender bodied traps on the bay recently.  I stripped em down and painted the bodies black to suit my scheme.

They may at some point in the future get upgraded to 'proper' ones, but for the time being i'm just chuffed to bits to finally have some 'traps after all these years.

No worries you big gay ogre ;)

Danny if this bike is a rider just a word of warning on the pedals. Two mates of mine have had these on OS race bikes. The part of the spindle where the spanner fits to tighten them has fractured and they both had to return them.

They received new spindles though and both promptly sold them. ::)

I believe so yeah, plus the cages are a bit thicker.

BTW, not gonna be used for a rider anyway, but thanks for the heads up. :daumenhoch:
