Spokes ?
« on: December 29, 2009, 05:37 PM »
How do you tell the difference between single and double butted spokes??

Were black spokes Old School??  Had coloured (red, blue, gold) spokes back in the day on some of my wheels but never black, was that because they weren't around? I don't remember.

Please tell :)

Single Butted spokes are fat at one end thin at the other and double butted are fat at both ends and thin in the middle.  Black spokes were around bitd, not a popular choice but they were around  :daumenhoch:.

Just had a look at the spokes....

They're 2mm straight (no tapered ends), what are they known as ??? (other than s**t)

None the wiser :(
